His physique could hardly fit into the temperament
of his persuasion. He is frail, he talks slowly and
you would have no qualms passing him off as one
naïve, harmless young man. But Nasir Isiaku, 27,
used to have zealous hatred for Christians. He
talked of himself as an Islamic warrior who
delighted in chopping off people's heads with a
stroke of his dagger. However, all of that was,
according to him, up until he made a turnaround in
a most dramatic way...
Nasir Isiaku is from Gusau in Zamfara State. He said,
while still in the group, he killed many Christians when
he reigned as second-in-command to a terrorist group
that wages war against non-Muslims in northern
Nigeria. The group, Shitte , is a Boko Haram franchise.
"Our own group is called Shitte but we have the same
agenda with the Boko Haram sect. You people have
only been hearing of Boko Haram, but there are other
deadly Islamic groups who are also part of Boko
Haram sect," he said, adding: "Whenever we heard
that any of the sects was fighting Christians, we
always joined them."
He was speaking to a gathering of Christians recently
of his activities as a member of the terror group. He
also told of how he renounced what he called 'the
cult' where he had to drink his victims' blood so their
ghosts would not appear to him in dreams.
This is Isiaku's testimony as he told it himself...
"I joined the Bafarawa Arabic Islamic Centre in 2010
and they were teaching us Arabic language. Every
year, we take about 20 people to Iran for special
training because our zonal headquarters is in Iran. Our
own group is called Shitte but we have the same
agenda with the Boko Haram sect. You people have
only been hearing of Boko Haram, but there are other
deadly Islamic groups that are also part of Boko
Haram sect. I can count up to six of them that I'm
very much aware of. Whenever we heard that any of
the sects was fighting Christians, we always joined
them. My own group has been an Islamic movement
for a long time, even before I was born. It reigned in
the north during the Abacha military regime and it has
many branches in the north. We are in major northern
states such as Kastina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kano,
Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Zaria among others.
"Sometimes, when we want to wreak havoc on
Christians, we hire our own bus because we have our
own weapons, which we use against the Christians. We
usually join the Boko Haram sect whenever they
wanted to fight the Christians or the soldiers because
we usually hear that soldiers kill our Boko Haram
brothers in Maiduguri, Yobe and Potiskum.
"I used to be one of the most trusted hands in the
group because I was a very obedient and loyal
follower. I had my own secret office where I received
delegates from our sponsors whenever our leader
wasn't around and where I attend to the needs of any
of our members.
"This is why I didn't participate in many of our attacks
against the Christians or the soldiers because I used to
take care of the home front. Our leaders usually
psyched us up, they brainwashed us to fight against
Christians because they are enemies of Allah. They
taught us that the more Christians we were able to
kill, the more our chances of entering Alijonan
(heaven) .

"Many of our trainings hold in the night, around
10pm. There is a bush around the school where we
usually go for trainings.
"Some aspects of the training we receive are not
ordinary; we used to drink what one could call
spiritual water because it is not ordinary water. We
also used to receive strange visitors who were not
equally ordinary humans. We receive the visitors in a
strange way, our leaders used to summon them: they
used to instruct us to recite some passages in the
Quran and whenever we do that, the visitors would
appear to us during those unholy hours. They could
come in three or four. They appeared like humans but
they are not humans. We know they are not humans.
They usually fortify us with charms for the task before
us. They used to instruct us to be strong and fight.
"Our leaders also used to render a lot of assistance to
support our cause. They bring a lot of money in a pick
up van and asked us to use the money to buy guns.
Many of our supplies come from the zonal
headquarters and sometimes, there is a popular
Bayelsa man who is, though a Christian, supporting
our cause in cash and kind. I can't remember his
name now. The Bayelsa man gave us money and also
supplied us with weapons for the mission.
"I am the second in command in my camp in our
group, and whenever our president travels to the
headquarters in Iran, I used to coordinate the group
and receive our sponsors on his behalf. This is why I
am able to sit with the sponsors and know what
happens.
"We had vowed to first kill all Christians in Kaduna
before dealing with others in the north. Whenever we
take the spiritual water, we become more daring to do
any evil. It makes us more dangerous and if we were
annoyed at such moment, we could kill. The water
also fortifies us against gunshots. When we have taken
it, bullets will not harm us. Also, we get mystery ring
from our leaders. About eight of us were selected for
the ring, and that ring provides almost anything we
asked from it. It is like a personal power for us.
"I can't recall the number of people I have killed. I
don't use gun most times. We usually use guns to
shoot people on the leg. If we ask a victim: 'Will you
become a Muslim or not?' and he or she refuses, we
slaughter the victim like a goat. And after killing the
victim, we collect his or her blood in a very small cup
and then drink it. After drinking the blood, the victim's
ghost could not hunt us in dreams. That is what our
leaders told us. And indeed, once we taste the blood
of people we kill, we will not see them in our dreams.
"Sometimes, when we don't feel like drinking the
blood from the cup, we used our fingers to touch the
victim's blood and taste it. It will still prevent ghost of
victim from hunting us in dreams.
"We used to kill Christians because we believe that by
killing them, we will enter heaven at death. Our
leaders used a Quranic passage that seems to support
our action (recites some Quranic lines) . In
interpretation, the passage says: "O you believers, you
should not be friendly with your enemies." 'Believers'
here means we, the Muslims and 'enemies' are the
Christians.
"The leaders of our group and the sponsors are many.
Our sponsors are wealthy Nigerians. They are in
government, and many are past Nigerian leaders. If I
mention their names, you would think I am just telling
lies. We have governors, senators who sponsor us
heavily. Our sponsors are many (names mentioned are
withheld) . You wouldn't believe some of them are
really part of us. We usually invite them to the
graduation of the students in the school. That is when
many know them as part of us.
"We have days we go to town to preach and win more
members. On such days, we add a red cap to our
white T-Shirt and trousers. On another occasion when
we put on black caps, it means we won't fight.
"We have infiltrated the Nigerian forces. We have our
members in the police and army. Those members help
us a lot whenever we want to fight.
"However, we are very secretive, my blood brother
who was not a member didn't know I was part of the
sect. I kept my association with the sect secret from
people close to me who don't share our views about
Christians. My father loved me very well.
"Right from the time we attended Chachangi School, a
lower school in my place, our Islamic instructors had
been drumming it into our ears that we should tighten
our belts to fight the Christians. They instructed us to
always be armed, either with knife or gun. They even
told us to have our own gun and get license for it.
"My own area in Kaduna is Torumada, it is a haven for
many Islamic terrorists in Nigeria. Before I joined the
Shiite school, I took part in several fights in which we
massacred many Christians. The Christians in Sokoto
are most vulnerable to attacks from our people
because they are just within our reach, but they have
also been very lucky because a major Islamic cleric in
the state is always pleading that we shouldn't touch
them.
"We actually found out many places in Sokoto where
Christians are living. One of them is Ota Road, but in
order to respect our Islamic cleric, we haven't touched
them.
"Boko Haram has their men trained in Afganistan. I
don't know if you have been hearing about the
Taliban, those who sacrifice their lives through suicide
bombing. The Talibans are the ones who are training
Boko Haram men. I know Boko Haram usually have
about 60 men who go for training in Afganistan. They
train them on how to go on suicide bombing, make
their own bombs and fight and do other dangerous
things. They also provide them with sophisticated
weapons such as bombs and all that.
"Since I gave my life to Christ, I have been getting
several attacks from the cult. There was a Thursday
evening in Sokoto, I was supposed to go to vigil with a
roommate named brother Matthew. He asked me to
go with him but I declined, saying I was tired. When it
was well into the night, I suddenly heard a loud,
disturbing knock on the door. The voice that called out
to me resembled that of brother Matthew. It said that
I should open the door. The man actually spoke in
Hausa, asking me to open up for him, but something
pulled me back. My heart pounded and I suddenly
realized it could be an impostor coming to attack me.
But then, I couldn't pray, all I could only mutter was
Holy Ghost fire! I said this repeatedly till the stranger
disappeared. And then I heard the barking of a dog
from somewhere in the neighourhood.
"Eventually, when the real Matthew came from church
and asked for the door to be opened, I became
hysterical with him. I demanded his explanations for
the earlier visit but he said it wasn't him. Initially I
didn't believe him. It took the explanation of another
brother who confirmed that he was actually in the
church all through the night for me to let things be. I
could have killed him.
"Before the attack, I had been keeping indoors. I
couldn't go out just anyhow because I knew members
of the group would be looking for me.
"So, after that incident, my pastor decided to take me
to his village, away from the area where everyone
knew me.
"It is only God that can stop the war Boko Haram and
other Islamic religious sects have started against the
Christians in Nigeria. I thank God that I am out and
now a Christian. The frank advice I can offer to all
Christians is that they should start securing their own
weapons, tighten their belts and prepare for war. The
terrorist sects are prepared for war already. I am just
looking at all Christians in Nigeria as dead people
because of the level of preparations the sects have
made.
"It was on March 6, that I had a strange encounter
that turned me into a completely different person. We
usually go for our preaching on Fridays and Saturdays.
I had just returned from one of such outings in
Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State, it was
around 3pm. I was about to start taking ablution for
the evening prayers when it happened. A man in
pure, resplendent white attire just appeared to me.
And once I saw him I was scared and dropped the
small keg of water and ran off to my office. My people
were asking me and I told them that I saw a man in
white but they said they didn't see anybody and even
when I went back to the spot where I had seen the
man, he was no longer there.
"Then that night when I slept, the strange man in
white came to me again. He was holding a stick and
then I was frightened and I shouted and woke up with
a start. My people rushed to me and said I was having
a nightmare. Our leader said that the man in white
must be an evil one. They took me to a powerful
Mallam in Gombe who did some prayers for me to
ward off the evil man in white. After the prayers, the
Mallam assured me that nothing would happen to me
and I returned to our base. But then when I slept
again the following night, the same man in white
appeared to me again and this time, he spoke to me.
He said: 'God has chosen you'. He said that three
times and I again woke up with a start and that again
alarmed my people. But when they asked what
happened to me, I lied to them that there was
nothing.
"When it was morning, I took my bath and deliberately
went to see a barber friend who is a Christian. After
he had finished cutting my hair, I opened up to him. I
told him about my encounter with the strange old
man in white and he said that the man must be God
reaching out to me. I asked him why God would want
to reach out to me. He then asked me if I was ready
to give my life to Christ and serve God and
immediately I said yes. I was even surprised at the
way I simply took it.
"Since I started fellowshipping with the church, I have
become a different being. The experience was like I
had a thorough bathe, which washed off all impurities
like diseases and all that. Before the experience, I
used to walk around like one afflicted with insanity,
but now, I am more relaxed and composed. I now
take time to take care of myself and even have inner
peace. I used to live on drugs but now, I don't take
drugs any longer. I feel healthy.
"It is not easy to quite the brotherhood because we
undergo terrible and diabolic initiation process that
hardened us. It is only by God's touch that anyone
one could renounce the group. When I was still there
a certain high profile member of the Boko Haram sect,
named Shuaib, renounced the group. I was part of
many others who personally swore that we would
ensure that we skin Shuaib alive if we see him
anywhere.
"But I want to tell my colleagues who are still in it to
have a change of heart. I now realize that killing
Christians would not take me to heaven; instead, it
will take me to hell. And I'm ready to live a good life
as a Christian."

Miley Cyrus teams up with ludacris, Big sean, other on new album

Miley Cyrus has revealed that some big names
are going to be featured in her highly-
anticipated new album, ” Bangerz”. During a
chat with MTV on the set of her VMA promo
shoot, the 20-year-old singer said that she had
worked with Big Sean and Ludacris among other
names.
“I have a lot of features on my record,” Miley
told the site. “Big Sean and Ludacris and, of
course, [ Pharrell Williams] has done a bunch of
my records, so I’m really excited about that.”
She also expressed her excitement to be able to
work with rapper Future.
“I get to work with Future, who’s like my favorite
kind of new artist right now, even though he’s
not that new now,” she said. “All his music is

when the collision happened. Police said the
driver of the other truck initially fled the scene
after striking the front cabin of Katy’s truck …
but quickly returned to the parking lot after
realising it was the best decision. Reports have
stated that Katy Perry was not inside the truck
during the crash.

‘Fashola deported people who were constituting a nuisance” – Jide Kosoko

Veteran actor and Lagos prince, Jide Kosoko has
released a statement defending embattled Lagos
state Governor, Babatunde fashola over the
deportation of some Ibo destitutes from the
state.
I disagree with the people criticising the
deportation. There are reasons for everything.
Since there have been negotiations between
Lagos and the state concerned and the
government believes their home state would
take better care of them, I think the action was
appropriate.
We don’t need to shy away from the fact that
Lagos is over-populated because of its
commercial advantage. Anybody doing a
legitimate work here is entitled to stay but a
situation where they are turning themselves to a
nuisance in the state and they would go as far
as inviting others to come is not acceptable.
Let’s not deceive ourselves, look at the
highways, are they not better? I am not speaking
for the government but for myself. To me,
whoever constitutes a nuisance in any state, not
just Lagos, let them be sent back home.
It is very unfortunate that we are in a multi-
ethnic country; that is the major problem we are
having. We find it difficult to say the truth.

JTF Youth nab 11 boko harm members in maiduguri

DESPITE a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration and a colourful Durbar in Borno State, the military Joint Task Force (JTF) and members of Borno Vigilance Youths Group (BVYG) have arrested 11 Boko Haram

terror suspects on the state.

  The arrests were made in three separate areas of Maiduguri metropolis, including the Shehu’s palace, in the early hours of Friday.

  The two suspects arrested at the Shehu’s palace had just returned from Gambouru Ngala in Shehuri ward of the metropolis where they went to celebrate the Sallah festivity with other members of the Islamist sect before they were nabbed by the youths.

  Speaking on the arrest of eight suspects at the Motor Park, Isa Ibrahim of Vigilance Youths said: “We picked up these three Boko Haram

suspects, who had just returned from Gombe to launch attacks on military and civilian targets in Maiduguri during and after the Sallah. After interrogating the suspects, one of them led the youths to Kofa Biyu area and identified five other suspects at one of the hideouts around 8a.m. and we recovered some arms and ammunition.

  “On confirming the identities of the suspects, we arrested them and handed over to the Sector Commander of the JTF for further investigations. The one that was arrested at the Gwange Bridge travelled from Muna Garage, 15 kilometres from the scene of arrest.”

  Ibrahim said the 15-year-old suspect was arrested with documents, including several divorce letters and other identification of being a member of the Boko Haram sect that killed over 25 people at the Muna Motor Park in 2011 and April this year.

  Chairman of BVYG, Abubakar Mallum also told The Guardian that the suspect along with the recovered documents had been handed over to JTF for further investigation.

  Spokesman of Borno State Police Command, Gideon Jibrin confirmed the arrests, saying the items found on the 15-year-old suspect could assist the JTF and police in their investigations.

Anzhi Put Entire Squad Up For Sale; Mourinho Moves For Eto’o

In a bid to cut their running costs, Russian side
Anzhi Makhachkala have put their entire squad
up for sale, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho
reportedly showing interest already in signing
Samuel Eto’o and Brazilian attacking midfielder
Willian.
Earlier today Anzhi released a statement saying
they wouldd be changing the way they were
doing business as they looked to cut their
budget by almost £50m a year.
And according to reports in Spain, that has
alerted Chelsea to the availability of Samuel
Eto’o and Willian.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Jose Mourinho
will move for Eto’o after managing the player
during his time at Inter Milan.
Chelsea were also hotly linked with Willian when
he made the move from Shaktar Donetsk to
Anzhi in January for £30m, and it looks like they
may revisit their interest in the player with the
Russian club looking to sell.
A statement on Anzhi’s website suggests that
the cut-backs are part of an attempt to comply
with UEFA’s financial fair play rule, with the club
putting increasingly greater focus on home-
grown players at the same time as looking to
offload “big signings” who have not brought the
Anzhi the success the club craved.
Anzhi’s president Konstantin Remchukov said on
Twitter: “The main news is that Anzhi will
undergo a reformatting.
“Many of our expensive stars will leave Anzhi,
while the club’s budget will be decreased to $50-
$70 million (£32.5-£45.5m) a year.
“We failed to clinch rapid success. Now Anzhi will
develop its academy according to the medium-

D’banj didn’t steal my song’, Durella clears the air on ‘Blame it on the money’ single

A few weeks back, there was yet another
controversial banter in the online sphere when
blogs reported that Pop singer Durella had
accused his long-time friend/colleague D’banj of
‘stealing’ his song. Durella has finally cleared the
air, explaining that it was all not true.
It was reported that Durella had told anyone
who cared to listen that he actually owned the
song ‘Blame it on the money‘, and that D’banj
took it from him and made another version with
international rappers Big Sean and Snoop Dogg.
To fuel things the more, Durella’s version (which
he possibly recorded while under his former
record label IKONIC Music) hit the streets.
But Durella seems to be singing another tune. In
an interview with HipTv, Durella says it’s all a
lie, explaining that he recorded his version after
D’banj released his just to ‘test his ability’.
‘Actually, I know a lot of controversy has been
going on out there because of this song. Blame it
on the money is D’banj’s song, I actually went to
do my version when he did his just to test my
ability, as he’s my brother. D’banj didn’t steal
my song. But enemies and ‘churchillians’ are
saying a lot of things out there‘, Durella explains.
Durella confuses matters though because the
official artwork of the single carries the IKONIC
Music logo. Durella says he parted ways with
IKONIC months ago.
It might be a flimsy excuse but Durella is sticking
with it. Fans of both artistes who have also
watched the interview don’t seem to be buying
the story, with majority saying Durella is lying.
‘The message is clear that Durella owns the
song. Cos even his countenance says it all.
Dbanj tried to use the song big time and don’t
want to pay any royalty to him if the song make
a way for him. So this video will be use against
Durella any day any time in the

Despite Durella’s insistence on a close bond with
D’banj, it seems their relationship might be
strained. Durella has stopped telling people he is

A tape in which Monica Lewinsky recorded sexy
messages to Bill Clinton has surfaced more than
15 years later.
Recorded before the scandal surrounding the
affair nearly brought down a presidency, the
tape reveals “sexy” messages inviting the
President to meet with Lewinsky in secret.
The tape was obtained by the National Enquirer,
which will publish the full report on Thursday
(Aug. 1). From beginning to end, the recording
only lasts three minutes and 47 seconds. Dated
to Nov. 1997, the cassette itself is addressed
only to “Handsome.”
Quotes released from the tape include:
“I could take my clothes off and start … well … I
know you wouldn’t enjoy that? I hope to see you
later and I hope you will follow my script and do
what I want.”
“Since I know you will be alone tomorrow
evening, I have two proposals for you, neither of
which is you not seeing me.”
“Now the first thing that has to happen is that
you need to pre-plan with Betty [Currie,
Clinton's secretary] that you will leave the office
at, I don’t know, at 7, 7:30 so that everyone else
who hates me that causes me lots of trouble
goes home.”
“Then you quickly sneak back and then in the
meantime I quickly sneak over and then we can
have a nice little visit for, you know, 15 minutes
or half an hour. Whatever you want.”
“Maybe we could go over and watch a movie

Model claims he’s the father of Kourtney Kardashian’s son

In early 2009, Kourtney and Scott Disick called
time on their relationship after dating for three
years. In the time they were separated,

Ooops!!! North Carolina Pastor Fired For Attending Rick Ross Concert

A young pastor in North Carolina, approaching
his fourth year on the job, is back on the market
after he was fired last weekend by his church
for attending a Rick Ross concert.
The news was first broken by
AmericaPreachers.com and picked up by several
outlets.
26-year-old pastor Rodney Wills was the pastor
of the Mt. Salem Baptist Church. Wills managed
to nail two milestones in his post in being not
only the youngest pastor in the church’s 100
year-plus history, but also having the shortest
time on the job. Wills was voted out by church
deacons 11 to 3 over the weekend after it was
discovered he attended a Rick Ross concert.
Willis was blindsided by the firing, this after
arriving to the church for service and seeing his
parking sign and name removed from his office
door. The deacons had a minister from another
church community lead the services for this past
Sunday (August 4). In a statement to
AmericanPreachers.com, a deacon spoke about
the reasons behind the firing.
“We know that many saints will have mixed
opinions from our actions, but this is not how
we do things here at Mt. Salem. We cannot have
a pastor praising the world one minute then
praising the Lord the next. Period,” said Deacon
Miles Langley.
Wills has been in this position before just nine
months prior.
The pastor was spotted by church attendees at a
Lil Wayne concert and met with the deacon
board then to secure his job. This latest
instance, however, was the last straw. The
church said it will employ guest ministers in the
meantime until they find a replacement for
Willis.

understand it because I am not the type of
woman a man beats but I guess there are no
types. It just happens and no woman deserves
it. As a young girl I thought it was love or his
way of expressing his emotions,after every
beating he pleads , cries and says it won’t
happen again, once again I thought it was love
and made excuses for him. Over the years
when it kept happening consistently I started
looking for other definitions for it. I started
loosing my self pride,self esteem , self worth,
and most painfully i lost a pregnancy
(Miscarriage) I almost lost my life in the process
then I realised how serious and abnormal it
really was.
I have heard and read a lot of accusations from
ignorant people who don’t know my story,I
guess that’s why they are ignorant. I was 20yrs
old and very naïve to the world when I got

Why I Became a Deadly Robber – Godogodo

The infamous robbery tsar from South-West, Abiodun
Ogunjobi, a.k.a., Godogodo, has revealed that lack of
parental care was one of the main reasons why he
became a deadly robber.
Godogodo was responsible for terrorising the zone for
over 14 years; he was in charge of most bank
robberies and other deadly operations. On August 6,
2013, in an interview at the state Police Command
headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos, he confessed that his
parents abandoned him at an early age to fend for
himself.
36-year-old notorious criminal spoke in emotional
laden voice, said he was the eldest of the children
and his mother who he said was a sickler, died from
her sickness.
My Father Was a Wayward Man
“My father was a wayward man. He was a drug addict
and a gambler. My mother was a sickler and she died
after giving birth to my youngest brother.
“But my father, who got married to another woman,
didn’t bother to take care of me. As a little child I
struggled through primary school, picking bottles, iron
and rubber from refuse dump.
“The little money I made from it was what I used in
paying my school fees in primary school and after I
graduated I went into the business of robbery fully.
“As a little boy I was sleeping on the street and my
father didn’t care. All he cared about was to gamble
away his money and take drugs.
“Gradually I started stealing and when I got of age I
started robbing people at Katangura market, Iyana-
Ipaja, but in 1999, I was arrested and sent to prison
for fighting and when I came back some of the boys
who were operating with me then had become big
time robbers. I joined them and in one of our
operations, I was shot in the eyes by some vigilante
men that accosted us in Ogun State and I ended up
losing one of my eyes.
“I would say after that incident I became tough and
very careful. I don’t socialise, drink, smoke or go after
women. I saw those things as weakness that could
give out a tough man.
I Have 3 Children from 3 Women
“I have three children from three women. I ran away
from my other wives because the police wanted to
use them to arrest me.
“I also want to make it clear that I didn’t participate
in all the robbery operations the police are accusing
me of. People like me because I am not greedy, I
make sure everybody gets their own share after a
successful operation.
“Some of these boys also go out on their own to rob
and when they are arrested they will tell the police
that they are my boys.
“I can’t lie anymore, I have been arrested. All I want
is for the police to give me a second chance. I will
assist them arrest all the robbers in Lagos and South-
West.”
Godogodo Coordinated Ogun, Kwara Robberies –
Suspect
Meanwhile, Felix Sunday, a.k.a K Money who allegedly
participated in two bank robberies in Kwara State and
a bullion van robbery, in Ogun State, this year, has
stated that Godogodo coordinated them.
K Money has been seized in March 2013, after a
deadly robbery attack at the Murtala Muhammed
International Airport, Lagos. During this attack the
members of K Money’s gang killed two policemen and
carted away huge sums of money from bureau de
change operators at the airport.
K Money told the newsmen that on January 2013,
Godogodo and first assistiant, Odun Paul, coordinated
them to rob in Oro town, Kwara State.
“We were 12 in number and we went for that
operation with eight AK-47 rifles. We struck at the
banks around 5 p.m. that day and we started
shooting indiscriminately. People ran away for safety
and a member of the gang who is a dynamite expert
blew open the bank doors with dynamite.
“We went into FirstBank and carted away all the
money in it and afterwards we struck at the opposite
bank and did the same.
“Nobody was killed in that operation because we
operated unchallenged, after which we drove to Ondo
State where we shared our loot.
“I got N500,000 as my share and I was happy.
“Few weeks after that operation, Godogodo called us
for a bullion van operation. We attacked the van along
Ijebu-Ode Sagamu Road in Ogun State and opened
fire on the van which was not armoured.
“We over-powered the policemen and took over the
van containing both local and foreign currencies and
we shared it.
“Godogodo was a source of inspiration to all of us and
whenever we had him around in an operation, we
don’t fear the police.
“He had the ability to confront the police and
overpower them. We didn’t know he was going to be
arrested this easily. He has boasted severally that he
is going to kill a lot of policemen whenever they come
for him and he did not care dying before his arrest. I
don’t know how the police did it but Godogodo is

4 Soldiers, 2 Policemen Killed in B’Haram Ambush

Suspected members of the violent Islamic sect,
Boko Haram, on Tuesday stormed a roadblock
mounted by the Joint Military Task Force in Yobe
State and killed four soldiers and two policemen.
Gonori is about 50 kilometres away from Damaturu,
the state capital.
The insurgents, numbering about 20, were said to
have caught their victims unawares while they were
relaxing at about 7pm. The attackers were said to
have carried AK47 guns.
A security source who briefed our correspondents
said, "Some people suspected to be Boko Haram
members opened fire at a JTF roadblock and killed six
security operatives on duty.
"Those who died include four soldiers and two
policemen; some other soldiers who sustained gunshot
wounds have been moved to the hospital.
"The suspected Boko Haram members might have
been monitoring the roadblock and opened fire when
they noticed that the soldiers were more relaxed; the
attack took place in the evening."
A top security personnel at the Defence Headquarters
on Wednesday confirmed the incident on the condition
of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak
to the media.
The source said members of the Special Forces were
still engaged in a gunfight in Yobe over the incident till
late on Wednesday.
The Special Forces is an amalgam of security
operatives raised to confront insurgents in the
troubled North-East when the Federal Government
declared a state of emergency in Yobo, Borno and
Adamawa states a few months ago.
Security operatives on the trail of insurgents believed
to be in possession of dynamites in Potiskum had shut
down the town for a house-to-house search operation
on Tuesday.
There was also the fear in security circles that the
insurgents could use the explosives hijacked last week
from Rick Rock Quarry, operated by a Pakistani in the
Gulani Local Government Area of the state, to wreak
havoc during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
Spokesman for the JTF, Captain Eli Lazarus, reportedly
said that the JTF decided to impose a 24-hour curfew
on Potiskum in response to an intelligence report that
the insurgents were planning attacks in the city with
effect from Monday.
A source who confided in our correspondents on
Wednesday said that the JTF had temporarily shut
down the MTN communication in Yobe State in order
to confront the development though the
communication facilities had since been restored in
the evening of Tuesday.
Efforts to get the Director of Defence Information,
Brig. Chris Olukolade, to comment on the Yobe attack
did not succeed as repeated calls to his mobile phone
were not answered.
Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan on
Wednesday admitted that members of Boko Haram
took his government by surprise with their terror
tactics.
Jonathan who spoke at the breaking of Ramadan fast
with Muslim members of the Diplomatic Corps in the
Presidential Villa, Abuja, regretted that the attacks
being unleashed on Nigerians by the sect members
had led to the killing of children, security agents and
many other innocent persons.
He said, "In Nigeria, the security challenge we face is
all too well-known. The activities of the Boko Haram
sect, especially their tactics of terror, took us all by
surprise.
"The mindless attacks of this group have led to the
loss of innocent lives of children, law enforcement
agents and other innocent citizens.
"However, it is significant to note that with
commitment and fervent prayers to God by all who
profess their faith in the supreme creator, we have
achieved significant success in containing the menace
of the sect."
The President expressed the hope that the Ramadan
season had imbued the peoples of the world with
compassion and forgiveness to enable them to
surmount the challenges of global conflicts and wars.
He urged the Muslim diplomats to always pray for
Allah to intervene and help address the various
challenges confronting all nations, especially nations
facing civil strife, political instability and financial cris

Police Dismiss Sergeant Who Demanded N25,000 bribe From Motorist In Lagos

The orderly room trial on a Police Sergeant,
Chris Omeleze, attached to the Lagos State
Motor Traffic Division, MTD caught on video
demanding for bribe from a motorists Tuesday
was concluded Wednesday.
Sources gathered that the Sergeant with Force
number 192954 had been dismissed from the
Nigeria Police Force, as he was reportedly found
guilty at the end of the trial.
The Sergeant was reported to have arrested a
motorist who was returning from the airport,
for contravening traffic rules. He was said to
have entered the vehicle, threatening to take
the motorist who was with a female passenger
to the station.

BrymO gets new manager, boycotts Chocolate City to sign new deal

The Pop singer has apparently signed a new
distribution deal with digital distribution
company Spinlet . According to a tweet from
Spinlet, the company will be digitally distributing
BrymO’s next album.
The deal was signed some sometime last week,
apparently without the knowledge of his current
record label Chocolate City which he says he’s
parted ways with.
A rep from Spinlet also confirmed the deal.
When asked if they had contacted Chocolate City
before the signing, the rep said no but then
explained that it was an individual deal.
BrymO has also signed a deal with
budding management company The Bail Music
Company. Headed by long time friend Lanre
Lawal, the company will now be handling his
managerial affairs formerly managed by
manager Samuel Lolo .
‘ Yes I’m now working with BrymO. He’s been a
longtime friend of mine‘, Lanre Lawal told NET
over the phone, explaining that they hooked up
some months ago. As per how Chocolate City
would react to BrymO’s new deal with Spinlet,
Lawal said he would rather not comment on
