Muslim Lesbian Couple Married in the UK (PICTURED)

she is my soul-mate and we love each other deeply. ‘It’s no one’s business as to what we do with our personal lives.

A pair of Pakistani women have made history as the first Muslim lesbian couple to get married in the UK.

Rehana Kausar, 34, and Sobia Kamar, 29, made history when they tied the knot in a register office civil ceremony, then immediately applied for political asylum after they were wed, claiming their lives would be in danger if they returned to their native country.

Watched by their solicitors and two friends, the pair wore traditional white bridal dresses when they were married in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The pair, from the Lahore and Mirpur regions of Pakistan, said they had received death threats from opponents in Pakistan – where homoséxual acts are illegal and considered against Islam.

And since news of their wedding earlier this month spread, the pair claimed they had even received death
threats from the UK.

Before the service, even the registrar advised the couple to give serious thought to their decision to marry because of some Muslims’ views on homoséxuality.

Ms Kausar, a master’s degree holder in economics from Punjab University (pictured), both came to the UK to study business and health care management
Kausar said: ‘This country allows us rights and it’s a very personal decision that we have taken.

‘It’s no one’s business as to what we do with our personal lives.

‘The problem with Pakistan is that everyone believes he is in charge of other people’s lives and can best decide about the morals of others but that’s not the right approach and we are in this state because of our clergy who have hijacked our society which was once a tolerant society and respected individuals’ freedoms.’

The pair married at the register office located at Leeds Town Hall. They have lived in South Yorkshire as a couple for a year
Ms Kamar, speaking to the Birmingham Mail, described her partner as her ‘soul mate’ and said the two women were deeply in love.

Boko Haram And Its Agents Must Be Crushed At All Costs ––President Jonathan

The threat by Northern Elders Forum to President Goodluck Jonathan that he must give account of their kids and woman at the end of the State of Emergency he declared in states of the North doesn't seem to bother him at all, as he is still talking tough on the Boko Haram saga.
“The excesses of Boko Haram must stop. That is the decision of this present government now. It must stop, whatever it will cost the government, it must stop,” says Jonathan.
Mr President, who was speaking on Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, during an interview with journalists, insisted that Boko Haram and its agents must be crushed, not minding the cost.

He boasted that the government had the wherewithal to confront the reign of terror being unleashed by the sect members and that their actions were already being confronted with his recent declaration of state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states.

“The military intervention in the affected states is going on well. There is no human rights abuse and there is no collateral damage with regards to security of individuals. I am optimistic that with the level of success already being recorded, the emergency rule in the affected states may not last up to the six months stipulated by the Constitution,” he stressed.

Tragedy Averted As Lagos Stríp Club Collapses

Tragedy was yet averted yesterday, Sunday May 26, 2013 when the building of a Lagos stríp club, Ocean Bluecollapsed.
The club, located on 14, Opebi Street lost half of its two-storey-ed structure when it collapsed. Eye witnesses say the incident which happened at around 1:20pm startled the neighbours.
An eye witness who talked to our reporter said, "I was just on my way out when I suddenly noticed the building crumbling from the top. I really hope no one was injured or has died".
Another witness, Nasiru Ahmed, who runs a provision kiosk confirmed to NET that no one was injured."They are lucky that it happened in the afternoon, because if it was in the night when customers would have been around, it would have been very disastrous", Ahmed said.
The reason for the collapse of the building is still not clear as the club security refused our reporter or anyone entry into the premises under the orders of the management.
From the looks of things the management of the club seem to want to conceal the misfortune as the stríp club which is located in the carefully concealed premises was allegedly being run illegally.
A call through to the Ikeja Police Station, proved that the police is unaware of the incident.

Two Teenagers Rapé 15-Year-Old Girl and Recorded It

A video has gone viral at the Awodi-Ora Estate area of Ajegunle, Lagos State.
It is the video of two known teenage boys ráping a girl also known in the area.
Residents of Awodi-Ora Estate and its environs woke up to the mysterious circulation of the porn like film, showing the séxual escapade of the boys in the area with the teenage girl.
The film is the rapé of 15-year-old Hannah. The boys, whose names are yet unknown, are also said to be secondary school boys.
Hannah until the incident, resides at Dada Onijoma Street and also attended Rebecca Secondary School in Ajegunle, a suburb of Lagos State.
Hannah was rapéd by the two boys after she was luréd into a hotel by one of them. It was gathered that as each took turn at her, the other used his camera phone to video tape the action.
In the video, Hannah looked sick and about to cry. She repeatedly kept spitting each time one of them forced her to take their manhood in her mouth.
The boys laughed repeatedly, even discussing that they paid N2,000 for the hotel. It was gathered that Hannah, who is from a broken home, had been wooed by one of the boys.
But instead of Hannah to leave the boy and turn down his request outrightly, she decided to keep the boy to meet her financial needs.
A source, who resides in the estate and pleaded for anonymity, said: “The boy who thought throwing money at Hannah and buying recharge cards would draw her closer to him, was disappointed when he heard from his friends that Hannah had been making a fool of him among her friends in the area, calling him his ‘mugu’. ‘Mugu’ in local parlance means a fool.”
Hannah, who continued with her games with the boy, however, was not aware that the boy had been planning to get even with her.
When she eventually demanded for N6,000 from the boy, he had promised to give her the money. He however asked her to come to a joint in the area to collect the money.
It was gathered that while at the bar, which also served as a hotel, the boy, who was already at the joint with his friend, booked a room in the hotel. He told Hannah to follow him to the room to collect the N6,000.

On getting to the room, Hannah saw the bitter side of the young man as he and his friend pounced on her, taking turns to forcefully have séx with her.
She was however devastated when the video was being circulated among her friends in the area.
It was gathered that Hannah, who had tried so much to hide the rapé from her parents, especially her mother whom she stays with, had to confide in her mother who alerted Hannah’s estranged father.
Hannah’s father was said to have abandoned her mum and moved in with a younger lady. Due to the incident, Hannah was immediately relocated to Ghana.
The matter was reported to the police and both boys picked up.
Police are however still investigating.

State of Emergency: We ‘ve taken over all Boko Haram camps – Defence Hqtrs

•Camps had hospitals, dormitories, arms depot & fuel dumps.
•Troops liberate six children, three women held hostage in Sambisa forest
As the military continued its quest to dislodge the Boko Haram terrorists from the north eastern part of the country, the Defence Headquarters Friday said  that soldiers have taken over all the camps where the insurgents operated from in Northern and Central parts of  Borno State.
This was even as the military said yesterday that soldiers would soon carry out a military exercise code-named Operation Thunderstorm ‘on the Abuja-Jere-Kaduna expressway.
Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Chris Olukolade who spoke in an interview with  newsmen, also said that troops on the special operations, stormed the notorious Sambisa forest area and rescued six children and three women kidnapped by the terrorists about three weeks ago.
According to Brig-General Olukolade who was part of a seven- man Assessment Team led by Maj-General Lawrence Ngubane, that visited the operation areas in the last three days, the troops were currently combing the vast Sambisa forest which is about 16 square kilometres.

Olukolade said that the team discovered during the assessment visit, that most of the Boko Haram camps contained dormitories where the terrorists slept, hospitals, fuel dumps, vehicles, materials for manufacturing Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDS, and vehicles either stolen or snatched.
Explaining that the operation to rid Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states of terrorists was being carried out  in phases, he further noted that the exercise was being carried out in accordance with the rules of engagement, as there had been no civilian casualty since the terrorists camps were located either at the outskirts of town, or the Sambisa forest and bushes.
Olukolade said that civilians running across the borders or elsewhere were free to do so provided they were not terrorists, armed or carrying IEDS or ammunition.
His words, “During our visit to the operational areas, we confirmed that our troops have taken over all the camps where Boko Haram terrorists operated from in the northern and central parts of Borno State. Our soldiers did a thorough and professional job.
“Efforts by the troops, after overrunning three terrorists camps in the notorious Sambisa forest area of Central Borno led to the freeing of nine persons, six children and three women.
“The women and children who were kidnapped from police barracks and environs during the May 7 attack on Bama, had been held in the camp since their abduction and were featured in the video by Abubakar Shekau recently who said they will not be freed. Troops combing the forest are however yet to locate one woman and her two children. As for people crossing to the border, if civilians run across the border and they are not terrorists, we do not have any problem with that.

“The operation is solely targeted at terrorist camps and enclaves in the forests, bushes and other outskirts. If you are found in a camp or enclave or you are found with arms, ammunition or IED, you cannot tell us that you are a civilian.”
Describing the response of Boko Haram terrorists to the military onslaught as ‘’feeble,’’ Olukolade said however that going by the weaponry recovered after the camps were overrun, “They have graduated from light weapons to heavy weaponry like anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank guns, mounted long range guns and sophisticated explosives”.
On the response of the people of the areas that have so far been liberated from the terrorists, Olukolade said, “The people spoken to described Boko Haram as invaders. They said most of them are not Nigerians; that they are from Chad, Niger. They expressed joy at seeing Nigerian soldiers come to their rescue. Our troops have complied with the rules guiding the operation. We went there out of concern to be sure there are no violations of any kind. There is no civilian casualty. The society is isolated from any form of crisis except at the camps and they are located at the outskirts.
Meanwhile, a statement signed yesterday by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Army Headquarters Garrison, Lt. Col. A. Ochagwuba said that the ‘’Operation Thunderstorm exercise will mark the end of a six-weeks rigorous training that began on April 8.’’
The exercise which involves movement of military equipment and troops, as well as military demonstrations will be conducted in the area of Sabon Wuse along the Abuja-Kaduna road.
Consequently, the Army has appealed to residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, to bear with it, as it conducts its operations in the area.
“The exercise which is in line with Chief of Army Staff’s, COAS, vision is designed to teach young soldiers skills and techniques required to deal with contemporary security challenges in a counter terrorism setting such as urban and rural operation, identification and handling of IEDs.
“The general public is advised not to panic when firing is heard in the exercise area or see troops’ movement in the area. The exercise will end up with battle inoculation in Kachia May 29,” the statement added.

Couple Stabbed Each Other Over 'American Idol' Finale

When a couple in Pennsylvania couldn't agree over which contestant -- Candice Glover or Kree Harrison -- should win this year's American Idol finale, they allegedly stabbed each other.
Only now, The York Dispatch reports, the two can't agree on who stabbed whom first.
Karen Elaine Harrelson, 48, and Gregory L. Stambaugh, 57, were arrested after the drunken fight Wednesday, May 15.
According to the affidavit obtained by CBS 21, Stambaugh told authorities that Harrelson started drinking at 5 a.m., "and was drinking beer and a lot of tequila throughout the day." He, on the other hand, claims he did not start drinking until noon and that he "was drinking beer and had a pint of Scotch."
Both alleged that the other went into the kitchen during the argument, grabbed a knife, and began the stabbing.
When police responded, the pair were on the front porch, bloody and still arguing, CBS 21 reported.
Harrelson and Stambaugh are now being held in York County Prison, according to an inmate roster.
The Associated Press reported that authorities slapped the two with assault charges.
According to the Dispatch, both were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

I spend half a million on my hair every month – Ghanaian actress, Mumuni

In the entire Africa, Ghana and Nigeria especially, entertainment has grown wider than we envisaged. This growth is very fast , making it possible to almost compete side by side with Hollywood.
So, there’ll be no need to doubt the same growth in proportion to its fashion sense, ranking our actresses and actors among best world dressers.
Mumuni: Before and After!
Mumuni: Before and After!
But even as fashion conscious as we are, our ladies, although give as much attention to their hair but hardly flaunt the price.
This isn’t so in the case of Ghanian actress, Salma Mumuni. She has suddenly gone gaga about her hair and wont give the social media a break, a week not passing by without robbing on our faces her hair price tags.
Meanwhile, maybe to put herself on the list of most sought after Ghanian actresses, Salma decided to change her looks. She’s now gone from the long-haired Salma, into a short-haired one.
Recently, she revealed the monthly sum she now spends to maintain her new hair cut. According to her, over $3,000 goes down into maintaining her new look so that she can stand out among her peers. “I maintain it every week too”, she added

PHOTOS: Six People Arrested For Having Sex In The Cinema

Police have arrested six people who they say were taking part in a live sex show at a movie theater in a family-oriented town.
Three women and a man were booked on misdemeanor charges of sexual solicitation after allegedly engaging in sex acts early Thursday inside the Syracuse 6 Movie Theater in Syracuse, 25 miles north of Salt Lake City, Utah, police said.
A janitor for a company contracted to clean the theater organized the show to make money, investigators said, and planned to charge from $35 to $75 for admission depending on whether someone wanted to just watch or participate.
photo
Anael Ibeanez, 36, of Bountiful, is accused of using Craigslist ads to recruit people to engage in acts of prostitution as well as to publicize the show. He was arrested on felony charges of exploiting prostitution and distributing pornography.
‘I have never heard anything like it,’ Police Chief Garret Atkin told KSL. ‘He was charging a fee based on where they wanted to sit and what role they wanted to play (in the show).’
Police raided the theater after they received a tip that a live sex show would be performed shortly after midnight Wednesday and just as the performance was starting.
photophoto
While Ibeanez told officers that 50 men confirmed they would show up, only one man was watching the show at the time. He was arrested for investigation of sexual solicitation.
It was an unlikely venue for a live sex show — a theater at a strip mall in a town of 24,000 that's billed as a ‘safe, family-oriented community’ on the city's website.
‘It was kind of a shock in moral-majority Syracuse,’ joked Mario Reyes, who was buying tickets Friday to the action movie Fast & Furious 6 with his son. ‘But I guess it can happen anywhere.’
Another theater-goer likened the janitor's sex show to a Pee-wee Herman-style scandal, invoking the child-like actor's 1991 arrest for indecent exposure at an adult-movie theater in Sarasota, Fla.
‘We laughed hard about it,’ said Air Force Sgt. Norman Startzel, 36, who was buying tickets to the cartoon movie Epic for his wife and two young children. ‘Definitely kind of underhanded and disgusting — a live sex show makes you wonder about taking one of those seats. I hope they cleaned up afterward.’
The three women arrested were Krystle Morales, 21, and Lillian Scott, 22, both of Salt Lake City, and Shelby Boyce, 21, of West Valley City. Troy Manning, 33, of Centerville, also was arrested on suspicion of taking part in the performance.
Terrill Holiday, 43, of Midvale, was also charged with sexual solicitation after police say he was present to watch the performance.
The suspects had unlisted phone numbers, and it wasn't immediately clear whether they had attorneys.
Police said the movie theater's management did not know about the show until contacted about it.
John Shorba, vice president of operations for Minnesota-based United Entertainment Corp., which owns Syracuse 6, said the company was stunned by the incident.
‘We are a family-owned company and of course do not condone actions like this,’ he said in an email to Ogden's Standard-Examiner.
‘None of our employees were involved nor had any knowledge of this incident. We would like to thank law enforcement and the tipster for acting quickly to put a stop to it.’

PHOTOS: "I Lost Both Arms And Legs While Taking Injection For Bigger Bottom

A mum of two told last night how her quest for a bigger bottom left her a quadruple amputee – and 24 hours from death.
photo
Apryl Michelle Brown had black-market silicone injections which turned out to be BATHROOM SEALANT.
It left her in agony and led to her losing her hands and feet, as well as her buttocks.
The 46-year-old former hairdresser blames “vanity” and wants to warn others of the terrible dangers of such illegal treatments.
Apryl said: “I’ve paid a terrible price for vanity and I’ll pay for the rest of my life. But I blame no one but myself.
“I want to share my story to warn others about these so-called ‘quick fix’ surgeries.
“I didn’t realise the dangers. I thought it was a harmless injection that would give me the perfect bottom. But the reality was the silicone used wasn’t suitable for humans. It was, in fact, bathroom sealant only suitable for DIY.
“My body had a massive allergic reaction to it which left me at the brink of death.
“I was in so much agony that, by that point, dying would have been a release. The only way doctors could save my life was to amputate my buttocks, my hands and feet.”
Teased as a child about her “pancake” bum, Apryl vowed to buy a shapelier one when she was older.
She said: “I didn’t know if I wanted mine to look like Janet Jackson’s or J-Lo’s.
photo
“I didn’t even know how you could do it. I just wanted a new, bigger bottom.”
The moment that changed her life came in 2004, when two women walked into her successful beauty salon to get their hair done.
One of them ran “pumping parties” — where unqualified practitioners inject illegal silicone into “patients” at their home.
Apryl, from Los Angeles, said: “One of the women told me how she had given bottom injections to the friend who was with her.
“I remember thinking it was a miracle she’d walked into my life. Her friend showed me the work she’d had done and it looked great.
“In a split second I made the decision that I was going to go to this woman and let her inject silicone into my behind.”
photo
That decision nearly killed her. Apryl paid the woman, who had no medical background, around £650 for two lots of injections. Doctors later discovered the substance used was industrial-grade silicone.
Apryl admitted: “I didn’t do any research. A combination of naivety, misplaced trust and insecurity led me to take this disastrous decision.
“I trusted her because she seemed so professional, and I had no reason to think anything awful was going to happen.
“She carried out the procedure in her daughter’s bedroom. She assessed my bottom and said, ‘You’ll need three or four sessions to get the result you want’.
“The first procedure took an hour. I remember asking, ‘Is it meant to be so painful?’ and she said, ‘Yes’. It felt like it was squeezing through my nerves.”
Within weeks Apryl returned for her second treatment.
She said: “After going through it again I had an epiphany. As I left her house I thought, ‘What am I doing? I have no idea what she’s putting in my body’.
photo
“I never returned. But though I didn’t know it then, my life had already changed forever.”
Over the next two years the area where she’d been injected became hard and the skin blackened.
Apryl, mum to daughters Danye, 22 and Courtney, 21, said: “Within a few months of the second injection my buttocks began to harden. I knew something wasn’t right. But shame stopped me seeking medical help. As time went on it got worse as the skin blackened. I developed hard lumps. Then the searing pain started. I had to tell my doctor what I did. I was so ashamed.”
Apryl spent the next four years in constant pain. Two surgeons told her it was too dangerous to remove the silicone.
She said: “I was in so much agony I became a regular at hospital asking for medication to ease what was like a combination of a migraine, childbirth and toothache localised in one area.
In February 2011 a surgeon operated unsuccessfully. Apryl developed a hole in her buttocks — thought to be the trigger for an infection that in June was nearly fatal. She said: “I was 24 hours from dying. I didn’t think of leaving my family. It was a relief I’d finally be free of pain.”
Doctors put her in an induced coma for two months while performing 27 surgeries — starting with amputating her buttocks — and doing extensive skin grafts.
She said: “They saved me but gangrene set into my hands and feet. I was brought out of sedation shortly before I became a quadruple amputee.
“My hands looked like those of a dead person. I knew then I was going to lose them.”
She added: “At first you try to register your new limbs. The real comprehension comes when you start to live this new life.
“I had dark times. I cried a sea of tears. I had to face the fact I’d lost my hands, feet and buttocks because of complications from bottom injections. I was overwhelmed by shame and guilt... all because I wanted a bigger bottom.
“I was six months in hospital. By the time I was discharged I was determined to turn this terrible thing into something positive.
“I decided to do a triathlon. I told myself if I could achieve that I could do anything.
“I took my first steps again by the end of 2011. I built up to training six days a week, learning to walk, cycle then swim again using my residual limbs.
“I’d be crying in pain but I’d push through it. And six weeks ago I did it — completing a three-mile walk, ten-mile cycle and a 150-metre swim.
“When I crossed that finishing line with my family cheering me on, I cried tears of joy.”
She added: “I haven’t sued or sought compensation. I just want to move on. There are things I miss dearly — I’ll never be able to do my girls’ hair or feel sand between my toes.
“But I believe I survived to share my story.
“I want to warn others of the dangers of black-market surgery. We were born whole, perfect and complete.
“My greatest message is we have to learn to love and accept ourselves for who we are.”

“I have two daughters who are unemployed” – Nasir El-Rufai

Ex-Federal Capital Territory minister, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has revealed that his daughters, who both have Masters Degrees are unable to get jobs despite his connections. On Thursday while delivering a lecture at the Sixth Annual Alao Aka-Bashorun Lecture, organised by the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, he lamented the spate of unemployment in the country.
“Forty-two per cent of Nigerian youths are unemployed,” he said.
“I have two daughters with Masters Degrees and they are unemployed. They have been at home for more than a year and I cannot get a job for them.
“We are sitting on a demographic time bomb and unless we have visionary leaders that are able to plan for the future, we will have a huge problem.”
According to reports, the former minister, whose lecture was entitled Impunity, Injustice and Insecurity: What Role for the Law,’ said Nigeria needed to create three million jobs yearly to tackle its employment problem instead  the Nigerian government is spending N2bn daily on security.
El-Rufai queried the N100bn Amnesty Programme of the Federal Government, saying it had not solved the problem of pipeline vandalism and oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
He said, “Our oil production output is at its lowest since 2009 as a result of oil theft and closure of facilities by oil companies.
“That is why the government is borrowing more than ever and dipping into the nation’s foreign reserves.”
The former FCT minister added that granting amnesty to people who take up arms against the state would not solve the problem of insecurity in Nigeria.
“Even if you grant amnesty to Boko Haram, without addressing the fundamental issues such as lack of opportunities, poverty and social injustice, it will not solve the problem,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, Prof. Akin Oyebode, advocated life imprisonment for corrupt public officials as a way of reducing the high incidence of corruption in the country.
His lecture was entitled, ‘Corruption and Insecurity in the Society: What Role for the Law?’

Naeto C Quits Storm Records

In the last 15 months, the Nigerian entertainment scene has witnessed more label shakedowns than we could have ever imagined. And the breakup season isn’t over yet…
Rapper Naetochukwu Chikwe better known as Naeto C has ended his relationship with Storm Records, the music home where he launched his career into the Nigerian music market.
NET investigations have revealed that the rapper plans to fully launch his WKG/Cerious Music label in a matter of months.
Unlike the many breakups that have preceded Naeto’s, the rapper’s exit is not battlemented; both parties have been very silent about the issue. As a matter of fact, Storm Records insist that the rapper is still signed with them.
One of the label’s directors Tola Odunsi admits that Naeto has had his own record label Cerious Music for a while but is still with Storm.
Naeto has had his record label for a while at least 3 years it’s called Cerious Music – his music is being pushed as a joint venture btw storm 360 and Cerious Music. Nothing has changed’, Odunsi responded to our enquiry via E-mail.
Naeto C’s profile is still active on the Storm Records official website but then again, we can’t take that seriously as General Pype (an artiste who has since parted ways with the label) also has his profile on the website.
An inside source however says Naeto has indeed left and his upcoming project will not be released under the Storm Records imprint. One insider said: ‘It is true Naeto started Cerious Music a few years back but the launch of his new outfit WKG (meaning White Kaftan Gang) will see him act fully as an independent artiste.’
WKG kicked off in the middle of 2012 with the launch of his ‘Tony Montana (Bad pass)’ video featuring D’banj. We are told he also plans to sign Lagos producer E-Kelly.
Storm Records was also not listed as one of the organizers of his first ever solo US tour which ran from late March to early May 2013.
Naeto who remains silent on the issue (he refused to reply our E-mail messages) has been busy though: he welcomed his first child while on tour in the US and returned to Nigeria to seal a deal with telecoms company Globacom as an ambassador. Popular artiste manager Godwin Tom also says Naeto is his new client.
Naeto joined Storm Records in 2006, returning from the US where he had already formed a rap group with close friend Ikechukwu and his younger brother Uzikwendu called ‘World Famous Akademy’. With the smash hit single ‘Kini big deal’, he released his debut album ‘You Know my P’ in 2008; parted ways with Ikechukwu who left Strorm in 2010 and then released a successful second album ‘Super C Season’ in February 2011.
Storm Records headed by Obi Asika and Olisa Adibua (the pair are currently in a legal battle) have in the past signed an impressive long list of acts including Jazzman Olofin, Darey, GT the Guitarman, 2shotz, General Pype. They currently have on their roaster rappers Sasha, Yung6ix, Pop singer Ms Jaie, Urban-Pop group L.O.S and gospel singer Tosin Martins.

Everyone knows that Kanye West is a ‘private’ person – unlike his counterpart, Kim – but, Kim was able to convince Kanye to do something that he’d said he wouldn’t. Drop down bottom to see what it is.
Since getting Kim pregnant, Kanye has been in the lime-light more than he ever was. He’s missed a few ‘firsts‘ with this pregnancy, but the baby shower will NOT be one of them. Kanye didn’t want to show-up to the all female attendee baby shower that will be held on June 2nd. The reason being is because, a camera crew will also be in attendance to film,”Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” A source told RadarOnline that, “Kim nagged him until he agreed when she said it would look really bad if he didn’t show up. Kanye thinks it’s silly to even go to the baby shower since he will be the only man there. He will be there for less than ten minutes, tops. It was important to Kim that he go, so he agreed.” Well, you have to crawl from under your shell one day Kanye. Baby-Steps (no pun intended).

Soldiers Comb Boko Haram Hideouts, Kill 35

Troops yesterday used jets and attack helicopters to bombard Boko Haram Islamic camps in Sambisa Game Reserve, in Borno State, which is one of their strongholds killing a number of the insurgents.

Over 3,600 military personnel comprising the Army, Navy, Police, the Department of State Security, DSS and other security agencies and men of Counter Terrorists Squad, CTS, are said to be involved in the campaign to rout the Boko Haram insurgents from their hideouts in the affected states. Heavy weapons belonging to the insurgents including anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns were destroyed by the military fighter jets even as the Nigerian Army’s artillery long range surface to air guns were also being used. The Sambisa Camps are believed to be harbouring their training and enrolment base.
Director of Defence Information, Brigadier-General Chris Olukolade told Reuters that several camps had been attacked, including the game reserve in Borno state, but did not give further details.
“A number of insurgents have been killed. There are a lot of casualties. It is not just Sambisa, every camp is under attack. But we have not done the mopping up operations on the ground to determine the numbers killed,” Olukolade said, adding that, “there have been air strikes since Wednesday, and were continuing yesterday. I cannot tell you the actual number of terrorists killed, but I am optimistic we are making headway, and at the end of the operation, we will be commended.” An unconfirmed report however, said that one of the air strike jets was shot by the insurgents, ‘’but the pilots manoeuvred it successfully and landed safely at the base.’’
This military offensive continued just as the Army said yesterday that its personnel in Daura, Katsina State foiled an attempt by the Boko Haram sect to overrun the ancient town by attacking and bombing government and public institutions like police stations and banks, causing mayhem and disrupting the peace of the residents of the area. Borno and Yobe states and their environs have remained for two days without communication as all the GSM networks were cut off to enable the military accomplish their mission without hitches. No fewer than 35 of the insurgents had so far been killed during the air strikes on their training camps. Military Spokesman, Olukolade confirmed that jets and helicopter gunships had been used to attack several camps. Nigerian forces are trying to regain territory controlled by increasingly well-armed Boko Haram Islamist insurgents in their north-eastern stronghold states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, which were put under a state of emergency by President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday.
At Gamboru, Ngala and Marte towns on the border with Cameroon in northern Borno, residents said that heavily armed troops and tanks arrived on Wednesday, sealing off previously unmanned border posts. Some sources said that many innocent people, particularly those residing in the remote areas along were not aware of the operations. The Defence Headquarters in an update on the battle to dislodge Boko Haram from the Northern borders of the country, confirmed earlier reports that it destroyed some terrorists camps in Northern and Central Borno.
In a statement in the evening, Olubolade said the soldiers destroyed much of the insurgents’ weapons and logistics including vehicles, fuel dumps, containers and power generators. The statement read, “advancing troops of Special Task Force, STF, have destroyed some terrorists camps sited in the forests of northern and central Borno. Heavy weapons including anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns were also destroyed in the process.
“The casualties inflicted on the insurgents in the cause of the assault will be verified during mop up. The Defence Headquarters is quite satisfied with the progress of the operation and the fighting spirit of participating troops. The STF has been enjoined to sustain the tempo. “Meanwhile, border posts have all been manned by security agents to prevent escape or infiltrations by insurgents.”
Meanwhile, the Army said that in the ensuing battle that followed the foiled attack by Boko Haram to overrun Daura, lasted for four hours, it lost two soldiers, just as an officer was shot and wounded while five Boko Haram terrorists were killed and their vehicle recovered.
The Chief of Civil Military Affairs, CMA, Major General Bola Koleoso, who spoke on the issue said, “Two Boko Haram terrorists were killed during gunfire exchange while three who escaped in their vehicle, had a road traffic accident and died thus bringing the death to five.
“The distress call (over the attack), came to our unit (35 Battalion) located in Katsina. Immediately, our troops moved into Daura to take charge of the situation. Some quantities of Improvised Explosive Devices, IED’s were recovered. Two Golf cars, 10 AK 47 riffles used by the terrorists were recovered.”
Keleoso said some of the terrorists escaped with bullet wounds and requested members of the public, to report to the nearest security agency, any person found with such wounds. “Additionally, hospitals and clinics are also warned not to treat any cases of gunshot wounds without reporting such cases to security agencies. We also wish to emphasize that civilians who hide Boko Haram terrorists will put themselves in danger as they will be acting against the public and national interests,” he said.
On the attack on Bama where Boko Haram terrorists attempted to overrun the Army Barracks there, Gen Koleoso said, “All of us are aware of what happened in Bama, the accusations and all. But it has been found that Boko Haram Terrorists in fake army camouflage uniforms were actually responsible for the burning of the houses and the killing of the civilians.
“The following day, after the incident, several civilians were treated in the multi-national JTF clinic in Baga by our medical team. Our uniforms are being used in disguise. ’’In fact, in a number of instances, these terrorists have burnt down buildings and vehicles in Maiduguri and all these dastardly acts were blamed on the soldiers of the Nigerian army just because they could not distinguish the fake uniform worn by impersonators from the well kitted and trained members of the Nigerian Army.”
On fears being expressed that the massive deployment of troops in the entire Northern flank for the operation to flush out Boko Haram in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states might affect security arrangements in other parts of the country where there are crisis, the CMA said, “Nigerians should feel free to go about their normal activities. Nigerians should feel very safe. Our barracks and formations are still in place. It doesn’t mean that because of the emergency, then troops will not be available for other operations.”

PHOTOS, VIDEO: China Man Destroys $N66.8million Maserati Because He Was Angry With Dealer

A in China hired three people to destroy his Maserati — worth almost half a million dollars — because he was angry with the car dealer.
The owner, identified only as Wang, paid the men to trash the $423,000 Maserati Quattroporte at the Qingdao International Auto Show on Tuesday. According to Car News China, Wang claimed the dealer had replaced faulty parts in his vehicle with used parts; he also accused both the dealer and an insurance company of fraud.
The men hired to decimate the Maserati used sledgehammers to batter the windows and body. They wrecked the flashy vehicle in front of hordes of press and bystanders gathered outside the Auto Show.
“I hope foreign luxury car producers acknowledge clearly that Chinese consumers are entitled to get the service that is commensurate with the brand,” Wang told the Qingdao Morning Post, according to Agence France-Presse.

Maserati, an Italian manufacturer, is one of several luxury car brands that have become popular in China since the country overtook the U.S. as the world’s largest auto market in 2009. Maserati China told the AFP that Maserati and the Qingdao-based dealer had responded to Wang’s complaint.
“We deeply regret that the customer decided to terminate bilateral talks in such a sudden manner,” a representative said in a statement.
A Maserati representative did not immediately respond to The Huffington Post’s request for comment.
This isn’t the first time a disgruntled customer’s frustrations have been taken out on a high-end vehicle. In 2011, a businessman from Qingdao named Han Nan hired men to annihilate his $750,000 Lamborghini. He was reportedly fed up with a mechanic who couldn’t fix an engine problem, so he decided to have the car smashed in front of a crowd on World Consumer Rights Day.

Nigeria's Islamists could face war crimes charges un:

GENEVA — Nigeria's Boko Haram Islamists could face charges of crimes against humanity, the UN's human rights office warned Friday, also urging the government to ensure civilians are not swept up in an army counter-offensive.
"Members of Boko Haram and other groups and entities, if judged to have committed widespread or systematic attacks against a civilian population -- including on grounds such as religion or ethnicity -- could be found guilty of crimes against humanity," said Rupert Colville, spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
"Deliberate acts leading to population 'cleansing' on grounds of religion or ethnicity could also amount to a crime against humanity," he told reporters.
Nigeria's military has launched an offensive against Boko Haram strongholds, after President Goodluck Jonathan imposed a state of emergency in three northeastern states following the Islamists' seizure of territory and declaration of war on the government.
Colville underlined that UN rights chief Navi Pillay had repeatedly slammed the "cowardly attacks" by Boko Haram against civilians, politicians, the security forces and foreign nationals.
But with Nigeria's military accused of massive rights violations in the past, including indiscriminate attacks on the ordinary population, there are warnings of a risk of high number of civilian deaths.
"We also call on the Nigerian government to make sure its efforts to achieve security are in full compliance with human rights principles," said Colville.
"We urge security forces and the military to respect human rights, and avoid excessive use of force when conducting operations, as these can all too easily feed local resentment, especially when civilians are killed or have their property damaged," he added.
Boko Haram has become notorious for blending in with the local population, both in towns and major cities where they have carried out suicide bombings as well as gun and bomb assaults.
The conflict is estimated to have cost 3,600 lives since 2009, including killings by the security forces.

Police Seek Rivers House Speaker, Amaechi’s Chief Of Staff Over Assassination Claim

The Police in Rivers State has invited the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Otelemaba Amachree and Mr. Tony Okocha, the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, following their claim about a grand plot to assassinate Amaechi and his top supporters in the state.

RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR, MR. ROTIMI CHIBUIKE AMAECHI (L) AND SPEAKER OF THE RIVERS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, RT. HONOURABLE OTELEMABA AMACHREE
Amachree and Okocha had claimed that the withdrawal of the policemen assigned to protect them was part of the assassination plot adding that the police would any time soon withdraw the security detail attached to Amaechi to pave way for his assassination by politicians opposed to his administration as the rift between the governor and the Presidency heats up. Addressing a press conference in Port Harcourt, the controversial Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Mbu Joseph Mbu, said the duo have been invited for further questioning because of the assassination claim.
Mbu also denied withdrawing all the security aides attached to both the Speaker and the Chief of Staff saying that he withdrew some personnel from the two officials because they had too many.
“The Speaker has raised very serious issues about security threat and about the attempt to assassinate the governor…
“That is a very serious issue and the Speaker would be invited and interrogated to give us more facts and throw light into this information…
“The Chief of Staff to the governor has also made pronouncements to the effect that there are plans to start bombing places, burning houses and so on. This also has to be investigated…
“As the chairman internal security in this state, I will not fold my arms and allow people to make inflammatory statements and create tension in the state.
“There is police abuse in certain quarters here in Rivers state. Everybody in government house wants to see himself as governor. If the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly has 15 personnel from the Special Protection Unit of the Nigeria Police, as if those men are not enough, he still acquired nine from the Mobile Police Force, Squadron 19, so 15 plus nine! What is his entitlement?
“So what we have tried to do is to make sure that every appointee or political office holder gets what he is entitled to so that we can have enough men to go on patrols,” the controversial police chief said.
Meanwhile, the opposition political parties in Rivers State Friday pledged support for the embattled Governor, who has lately suffered harassments and intimidation from the Presidency.
The parties, under the aegis of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) Rivers State chapter during a solidarity visit to Amaechi inside Government House, Port Harcourt, said the political crisis in the state was the main purpose of their visit.
Speaking of behalf of the parties, the leader of the CNPP, Dr. Minaebi Dagogo Jack said: “Our main purpose for this visit is particularly on the crisis that is facing the state. We hear of crisis in the State House of Assembly; we saw women protesting here and there. We saw youths carrying placards here and there in the state; the electronic and print media carrying stories of threat of all kinds…
“Your Excellency, we as leaders of the various opposition parties are greatly worried over these recent increases in security threats as a result of internal problems from one political party, the PDP in which you belong. We are aware that you are the leader of the PDP in Rivers State and more importantly the Governor of the state and so as partners of progress we deemed it most appropriate to pay you a visit and to state that Rivers State does not belong to one political party alone, but belongs to all of us including those of us from the opposition political parties.
“We cannot be quick to forget that some years ago, crises similar to this were pampered until it became a major monster that nearly swallowed everybody. We all felt the negative impact because good people refused to say anything. When you came on board, you took some bold steps to curb the situation.”

Boko Haram crisis: Nigeria air raids target militants

The BBC's Will Ross said Nigerian troops will have difficulty flushing out Boko Haram militants in urban areas
The Nigerian military has launched air raids on militant training camps in the north-east of the country, officials say.
An army spokesman said jets and helicopter gunships had been used to attack several camps.
He told the BBC that a plane had been hit by anti-aircraft fire but had managed to return to base.
States of emergency were declared this week in three north-eastern states hit by Boko Haram's Islamist insurgency.
Nigerian military spokesman Brig Gen Chris Olukolade said two militant bases in the Sambisa Forest Reserve were destroyed in raids.
The reserve is about 70km (45 miles) south of the Borno state capital, Maiduguri, where the militants first emerged in 2009.
Reports say dozens of militants have been killed, but there has been no independent confirmation.
Nigerian forces are trying to regain control in the states of Adamawa, Yobe and Borno.
"It is not just Sambisa, every camp is under attack," the Reuters news agency quoted Brig Gen Olukolade as saying.

Soyinka Okupe Special assistant to the Nigerian president
Meanwhile, explosions and gunfire were heard overnight on Thursday in Katsina state, where gunmen launched several attacks.
Residents told the BBC's Hausa service that banks, police stations and prisons were destroyed in the town of Daura, near the border with Niger.
They said they had seen the bodies of five members of the security forces and three militants, but there has been no official confirmation of casualties.
Soyinka Okupe, a special assistant to Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, said that government forces would continue to hit the militants hard.
"Their mandate is to ensure that activities of Boko Haram insurgents and rebels in these areas are brought to zero level.
"So they will employ everything that is in their power to effect that, including land and air."
Mobile phone networks were not functioning in many parts of north-east Nigeria on Thursday.
A security official told the AP news agency that the mobile phone service had been shut down during the military operation.
Militants have previously attacked mobile phone masts in the area in an effort to disrupt communications.

Boko Haram: Timeline of terror

  • 2002: Founded
  • 2009: Hundreds killed when Maiduguri police stations stormed; leader Mohammed Yusuf captured and killed
  • Dec 2010: Bombed Jos, killing 80 people; blamed for New Year's Eve attack on Abuja barracks
  • Jun-Aug 2011: Bomb attacks on Abuja police HQ and UN building
  • Dec 2011: Multiple bomb attacks on Christmas Day kill dozens
  • Jan 2012: Wave of violence across north-east Nigeria
  • April 2012: Deadly Easter church attack in Kaduna; ThisDay newspaper offices bombed
  • February 2013: French family kidnapped in Cameroon
  • May 2013: Heavily armed incursion into Bama town
Brig Gen Olukolade said the plane damaged by anti-aircraft fire on Friday had returned to base safely, while the "terrorist base" was subsequently "completely destroyed".
This is the first time Boko Haram has been reported to have used such heavy weaponry against aircraft.
A Maiduguri resident told the BBC that the city was unusually quiet on Friday, with most people staying inside.
Brig Gen Olukolade said "several thousand" troops had been sent to the three north-eastern states to tackle Boko Haram.
The three semi-desert states, which border Niger, Chad and Cameroon, are roughly the size of England or the US state of Illinois but have a population of just 10 million.
The BBC's Will Ross in Abuja says targeting Boko Haram's rural bases or training camps should pose no great challenge for the military; the hardest part of this campaign will be in urban areas like Maiduguri, where the militants are living among the civilian population.
The president said the army would take "all necessary action" to "put an end to the impunity of insurgents and terrorists", saying they had taken down the Nigerian flag and replaced it with a foreign emblem in some parts of the country.
Human rights organisations have criticised some of the Nigerian military's previous operations because of the resulting civilian casualties.
Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is forbidden" in the local Hausa language, is fighting to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state in the north.
Although they often attack Christians and government targets, they have also killed many Muslim civilians.
